From submitted sample to inspectable evidence.
This is the public version of the Evidence Chain. It explains the path every sample follows. Inside the portal, the same chain shows the real status, timestamps, instructions, and evidence for each of your own samples.
The six steps
Choose testing
Select a service directly, or use the Certainty Engine to match testing to the question you need answered.
Configure order
Identify the peptide, sample count, objective, services, timing, billing, and organization details.
Prepare sample
Follow the service-specific quantity, packaging, labeling, shipping, and documentation instructions.
Receipt and review
CertaSafe matches and documents the sample, then addresses condition or information issues when applicable.
Testing and quality
The assigned controlled method, quality controls, data review, and authorization path are applied.
COA and verify
The authorized COA is released to the account and connected to CertaScan when eligible.

When the clock starts, and what changes it
Turnaround is measured from sample receipt. It is not measured from payment, from carrier handoff, or from delivery to the building. A sample the laboratory rejects at receipt (a damaged arrival is unusable and is rejected) has not started its clock; the laboratory contacts you and requests a resampling. The submission guide carries the rejection criteria and the shipping instructions that avoid them.
Typical turnaround for each service is on its service page. Where the laboratory gave a statement rather than a range, the page says that rather than estimating.
Testing pauses when the laboratory needs something it does not have: a condition issue with the sample, missing identification, an information question, or a decision that only the customer can make. Your order's status reflects a pause. Samples in one order move independently, so one paused sample never stops the rest.
Status shown to you follows real laboratory events. Where a communication is an estimate, it is labeled as an estimate.
